Zadymka is a festival organized by the artistic community associated with the Sztuka Teatr Association. Actors, musicians, artists, photographers, journalists are involved in the organization of the event, with the support of the local government, sponsors and partners of the festival. The director of the festival is Jerzy Batycki.

Prominent figures of Polish jazz take part in the work of the Zadymka Organizing Committee - Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski, musician, composer and music journalist, Paweł Brodowski, editor-in-chief of "Jazz Forum" and recently Marek Dusza - another well known music journalist.

For almost two decades, Zadymka has gained a  main sponsor - the fuel concern Grupa LOTOS SA, which resulted in the dynamic development of the event and resulted in the change of the name to: LOTOS Jazz Festival - Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa.
